I am thrilled to share a major milestone in our journey towards a stronger, more resilient regional workforce. Pacific Mountain Workforce Development (PacMtn) proudly presents our Regional Strategic Workforce Plan (Local Plan), a dynamic roadmap guiding our workforce development initiatives for the next four years. In today’s rapidly evolving job market, this plan represents a significant leap towards a brighter future for all.

Recognizing the evolving job landscape and the shifting needs of employers and jobseekers, we believe in the strength of unity. We invite our entire community, including employers and job seekers, to join us in shaping a future rich with opportunities and boundless growth.

PacMtn’s 2023 Local Plan is a comprehensive blueprint designed to propel our region’s workforce towards success. By carefully assessing our current regional landscape, identifying opportunities, and charting clear directions for collaborative action, this plan aims to establish a robust regional workforce development system. This system will cater to employers’ needs, nurture job seekers, and drive economic growth through innovative training programs that anticipate tomorrow’s job demands.

Yet, we recognize that the true power of this plan lies in our community’s wisdom. Throughout the planning process, we are committed to actively engaging job seekers, employers, and Regional Workforce System partners to understand our region’s unique challenges and opportunities. Through this inclusive approach, we will develop strategies and solutions reflecting the diverse needs and aspirations of our community.

The journey towards our Regional Strategic Workforce Plan begins now. PacMtn staff will be present at various community events, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to share their perspectives, challenges, and potential solutions. Open houses are also planned across the PacMtn region for your convenience.
