Meet Michael Cade, a distinguished member of the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Board, whose illustrious career in economic and community development spans over three decades. Beginning his journey in 1987, Michael’s dedication to fostering economic growth and building resilient communities has made him a pivotal figure in the field. His extensive experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the Thurston County Economic Development Council (EDC) since 2004, where he plays a fundamental role in attracting investments, retaining companies, and crafting community-based economic development plans. With a profound commitment to creating quality communities, Michael’s expertise has been instrumental in shaping the economic landscape of Thurston County.

Currently, Michael Cade serves on the Board of Directors of several influential organizations, including the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council, Thurston Regional Planning Council, Morningside, Thurston County Chamber of Commerce, and the Washington Economic Development Association (WEDA). His multifaceted involvement demonstrates his passion for collaboration and his drive to facilitate meaningful change. With a degree in Geography and English Literature from Western Washington University, Michael combines his educational background with hands-on experience, making him a well-rounded and insightful leader in the economic development arena.
